Will 2007 be the Year You Become a Successful VA?

by Lauren

In MSNBC’s article, How to make 2007 the year to take the plunge Eve Tahmincioglu writes about what makes one person change careers and what keeps another one stuck in a job they’re unhappy with.

This article has lots of good tidbits, but one of the most interesting points she made was that sometimes your biggest hurdle can be your own negativity. Wow. Isn’t that the truth? You need to replace the endless loop of tape running in your head of “it will be too hard to leave my job/ I’ll never find any clients/ I’m not cut out to be a VA/ what do I know about being in business/I can’t do it….” with one that is positive and supportive. Remember, you may get some grief from the nay-sayers that say you’ll never make it. That’s to be expected. But take a look at them. Are they happy in their jobs or careers? Or is it a case of misery-loves-company?

Surround yourself with positive people. Plan, plan, and plan some more. And read Entrepreneurial Freedom to help you meet your goals of a new, happier life in 2007.

I keep seeing people lately becoming frustrated, part of it is clients aren’t as busy this time of the year and everything, but that quote really brings to light the biggest problems, doesn’t it? You HAVE to think positively and constantly thinking of new and innovative ways to do things, instead of grousing. Yes, we all have our share of down moments in business, but… anyway, I just wanted to say that’s a GREAT quote!
